BIOGRAPHY

about sam

A native Nebraskan, Samantha Noonan has been described to have “an impressive vocal range and technical skill… her tone twinkle(s) with brilliance” (Opera Wire, 2023). She has also been regarded by the Twin Cities Reader as a “sparkling soprano, with a deft humor.” Ms Noonan has had the pleasure of recently performing the roles of The Rooster/The Jay (The Cunning Little Vixen), First Lady (Die Zauberflöte), and La maestra delle novizie (Suor Angelica).

Since moving to New York City in January 2019, Ms. Noonan has been involved in the Canto Vocal Programs and the Chicago Summer Opera Program. In the summer of 2019, she made her Carnegie Hall debut at the Weill Recital Hall through the Manhattan Opera Summer Studio Festival.

Ms Noonan holds a degree in Vocal Performance (BM) from St. Olaf College and will be graduating with her Masters from Manhattan School of Music in the Spring of 2024 under the tutelage of Joan Patenaude-Yarnell.
